CORRINA

CORRINA PRIDE OF DRURY LANE
IS FORTY FIVE NEXT YEAR
SHE,S ANYONES FOR A GLASS OF STOUT
OR A TANKARD FULL OF BEER

MIND YOU THEY DON,T HALF GET A SHOCK
WHEN THEY TAKE HER HOME FOR SOME NOOKIE
APART FROM THE FOUR LONG FLIGHTS OF STAIRS
HER APARTMENTS EXCEEDINGLY MUCKY

SHE PLONKS HIM DOWN WITH A CUP OF GIN
THEN GAZES AT HER REFLECTION
AND TOSSES HER GLASS EYE INTO A DISH
WHICH DOES NOTHING FOR HIS ERECTION

THE CAT FLIES OUT FROM UNDER HER BED
FURLESS FROM BELLY TO BUM,
I MAKE NO WONDER,WHERE ELSE DO YOU THINK
HER DESIGNER EYEBROWS COME FROM

NOBODY KISSES CORRINA
AFTER SHE,S DROPPED HER TEETH IN TO SOAK
AND THE SIGHT OF HER MINUS HER CORSET
IS ENOUGH TO MAKE EVEN A BRAVE MAN CHOKE

WHEN SHE UNLACES HER TOP ,LETS IT ALL HANG OPUT
HE IS GOVBSMACKED TO SAY THE LEAST
SO SHE LEERS AT HIM WITH HER TOOTHLESS FRIN
AS SHE SLAPS HER BOOBS FULL OF GREASE

JUST TO STOP THE WRINKLES SHE SMILES
BUT BY NOW HE IS FEELING QUITE SICK
AS HE SWIGS HIS GIN FROM THE DIRTY GLASS
HE HEARS A RESOUNDING CLICK

HE LOOKS UP,JUST IN TIME TO SEE
HER LEFT LEG DROP TO THE FLOOR
BY NOW THIS GUY IS PERTRIFIED
AND HE MAKES A MAD DASH FOR THE DOOR

SHE HASN,T A HOPE OF CATCHING HIM
FOOTSTEPS ECHOING DOWN THE STAIRS
BANG GOES HER LAST CHANCE OF FUN TONIGHT
BUT AS SHE HOPS INTO BED SHE SWEARS

TOMORROW,I,LL GET ME A HANDSOME YOUNG MAN
THEN SHE STROKES THE CAT WITH A GRIN
HE TREMBLES,MOURNING MORE LOSS OF HIS HAIR
AS SHE TAKES THE LAST SWIG OF GIN

IN PANIC THE MOGGY TRIES TO ESCAPE
BUT CORRINA HAS BOLTED THE DOOR
AND AS HER SNORING RATTLES THE SLATES ON THE ROOF
HER LEG ROLLS ABOUT ON THE FLOOR

SO SLEEP WELL,CORRINA OF DRURY LANE
DREAM OF DAYS LONG BEFORE DOLLY VARDEN
WHEN THE RAKES QUEUED UP TO BE SEEN WITH YOU
YOU WERE THE TRUE TOAST OF OLD COVENT GARDEN, .
